We are a church family
eagerly responding to Jesus
as He transforms our world.

The following three expressions capture who we are becoming as we pursue this vision.

1: WE FOLLOW JESUS DAILY.

Jesus is the greatest news ever and continues to say “come follow me.” God calls us to offer ourselves to Him. There is no higher form of worship than daily surrender. God’s Word is living and active and the source of faith and life.

We invite and challenge 100% of our church family at Bethesda to read God’s Word daily and put it into practice while considering "What is God’s Word saying?" and "How is God’s Word asking me to respond?"

Mark 8:34–36; 2 Corinthians 5:14–15; Romans 12:1; Matthew 7:24; James 1:22

2: WE ARE A CHURCH FAMILY OF DISCIPLES WHO MAKE DISCIPLES FROM GENERATION TO GENERATION

God calls us to love one another and to make disciples. Our church family is a place where disciples of Jesus bear one another’s burdens, pray for one another, encourage one another, and challenge each other to take next steps of faith. The church family includes believers both mature and young, mentors and peers, and is a place where the lost are welcome to join.

We invite and challenge 100% of our church family at Bethesda to participate in disciple- making. Following Jesus was never intended to be done alone or only for one hour on Sunday morning. As a church family, we are also investing heavily in our children and students so they in turn might make disciples of the generations that follow.

Matthew 4:19; Matthew 28:19; Hebrews 10:23–25; Colossians 3:13; James 5:16

3: WE LIVE ON MISSION BY USING OUR TIME, TALENTS, AND TREASURE TO SERVE ACROSS THE STREET AND AROUND THE WORLD.

God is on a mission to redeem the world, and He equips His disciples to join Him in the work. Our church family is one body with many parts, and each disciple is uniquely called to participate in this mission.

Focus: We invite and challenge 100% of our church family at Bethesda to pray daily and to eagerly take action as God calls us to serve. We are always looking for opportunities to share the certain hope that Jesus has come and is coming again.

Ephesians 2:10; Colossians 1:9–10; 1 Corinthians 12:4–6; 1 Peter 3:15

C3 Mission: The church we are called to be within the Church

Knowing and Growing in Christ

Belonging and Caring in Community

Serving and Sharing His Cause

We believe Christ, Community, and Cause are equally valuable in our relationship with Jesus and equally integrated into the mission he’s given us. While all of these elements are connected, any one of them is a great place to start. We invite you to experience what God has for you and what he can do through us more and more, as we partner together in this great adventure of following Jesus.
